After you've watched House of Numbers (link above), there are videos here that show the more extended interviews and expound on the information. It's complicated but fascinating and I'm already increasingly convinced that we're not being told everything. It seems they want to inspire a greater degree of confidence in them and their certainty than they deserve.

I recall now one of the issues with the idea of "owning yourself". Can humans be owned or can't they? Most liberty lovers would say they can't but out of the other side of their mouths, they say they own themselves. So again, we ARE ourselves.

My friends and I always thought that the men in porn are not "hot" because it makes the person watching the video feel like even he could have the woman. Do you know what I mean? The user wants to feel like he is one getting it on with the hot chick. If the guy was super ripped and gorgeous, then the user wouldn't be able to imagine he was the guy in the video as well as if the porn actor was normal looking.

Normal looking guys probably like to watch other normal looking guys with hot women.

But the giant dick thing kind of goes against my theory.

Just as we speculated on the show, Ron Paul came in 2nd in the DEMOCRAT primary as well as the Republican primary.

That's an excellent clip and directly relevant to the show topics. When we were on that subject, this is actually a longer version of the clip I was referring to but didn't have a link at the time. Of course we want to share it. Thank you for linking it.

Don't know if you guys care to share this, but here was Ron Paul back in 2007 on a very right wing evangelical radio station basically saying that homosexuality is too complex of thing to label a sin and that he doesn't really rule out that you may be born that way - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIeW0DY64bE

And for the record Neal, it was Barry Goldwater who famously said, "You don't have to be straight to be in the military. You just have to shoot straight." He became a supporter of gays in the military shortly after his grandson came out (I believe his grandson was in the military for a time as well).

Can't wait to hear the new show. I will actually be able to call in at that time!

I like the idea of calling the show "Prometheus Unchained." Its clever and interesting, but I think it was a good idea to change the name to something people can spell.

Can't wait for more.

Great show. Thanks for taking my call. I fully checked out the referenced FB page. I think that the poster of the WND article had a good point. I agree with him that the economics teacher (that likely never approaches the Austrian flavor) was wrong in expelling those he disagreed with. It was a lost teaching moment. I do not subscribe to any religious position. I think also that there was no glbt factor in the "civil" war.

I used the word "special" because women are a majority group. Perhaps, I should have written "not straight white males."

I do have a theory why not straight white males don't get active in the liberty movement. Its because the vast majority of them aren't libertarians. And I have no idea why that is the case. Perhaps, your theory is correct.

I do agree that libertarians are seen as having a lack of empathy. I think that has more to do with their supporting a free market over the welfare state. You know, things like being against the minimum wage, fair trade, and affirmative action.

And why do you think straight white men don't experience the problem of having too few gays, blacks, and women? Aren't most men attracted to women? Wouldn't having very few women in the liberty movement have a significant effect on straight males? Assuming they'd prefer having a libertarian girlfriend/wife. Or maybe you mean't that these issues aren't effecting me, personally.

In any case, you and I have a great deal in common, despite our small differences outlined here and elsewhere.
