Sasha’s question about ethics and animals:
“I have a philosophical anarchist question. In an anarchist society, how do you address animal cruelty? If my neighbor abuses his dog, what should be done about it? On one hand, the animal is his property, interfering with how he interacts with his property would violate the NAP. But on the other hand, this particular piece of property feels pains, it’s alive and aware.
“If you think there’s something you could/should be done about it, I have another question. My neighbor on the other side bought an elephant but she keeps it in a cage. She feeds it’s and gives it water, but to keep that kind of animal in those conditions is very cruel. Where is the line? How do you reconcile animal cruelty in An-cap society?”
